Weather’s sudden turnover was welcomed by the snow-lovers who are also expecting light rainfall.
According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast the Mercury in Ziarat and other cities will drop further in the current week mainly at nights. MET also forecast light showers.
A pod of three killer whales sited near Charna Island, Pakistan!
KARACHI: WWF-Pakistan has shared a video on Facebook featuring the first ever sighting of Killer Whales (Orca) in Pakistan on Sunday (19th of November, 2017).
According to details fisherman Muhammad Muneeb, who was trained by WWF-Pakistan, had captured movement of the pod of three whales (feeding on a school of queenfish) about 50 km southwest of Churna Island. The whales were feeding on a school of queenfish.
7.3 magnitude earthquake along Iran-Iraq border kills 407, injures 6,700 more
TEHRAN: The 7.3 magnitude earthquake, that rocked northern border region between Iran and Iraq at 9.20 pm local time yesterday (Sunday, 12th of November), killed at least 400 people and left 6,700 more injured on Sunday (12th of November).

Thirty Red Cross teams had been sent to quake zone and rescue operations continued throughout the Sunday night to salvage people stuck under the debris.
But the earthquake in this mountainous region had triggered landslides that is hindering the aid assistance.
Iran’s emergency services chief Pir Hossein Koolivand said it was difficult to send rescue teams to the villages because the roads had been cut off due to landslides.
According to US Geological Survey, the magnitude of earthquake was 7.3, while an Iraqi meteorology official stated it to be 6.5 with the epicenter in Penjwin in Sulaimaniyah province near Iran border.
Electricity was cut off in many cities of Iran and Iraq after the earthquake. Despite cold weather, people fearing aftershocks refused to go back to their damaged buildings. Tremors were also felt in southeastern Turkey where people fled their homes.
Long dry season is about to end in Pakistan: MET office
LAHORE: An eagerly awaited weather system is entering Pakistan from the oceanfront of Sindh and Baluchistan tonight. As a result countrywide rains are expected to commence from today.
These rains would not only terminate the long dry spell but also help diminish the dominant smoggy conditions in the country that affected visibility causing accidents.
According to the MET office, rain with thunderstorm and snowfall over the hills is also predicted at scattered places in KPK, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Kashmir, FATA and Gilgit Baltistan and at isolated places in South Punjab during the next three days.
