Two-time BD prime minister, Khaleda Zia incarcerated for 5 years!

DHAKA: Two-time prime minister of Bangladesh, Khaleda Zia belonging to BNP, has been convicted of misappropriating $252, 000 from an orphanage funds, by a court here. She has been incarcerated for five years.

Opposition leader Khalida Zia while denying charges said not a single penny had been misappropriated. She claimed that the case against her was politically motivated.

Thousands of her followers clashed with the 5000 police personnel deployed to prevent any manifestation. Police teargassed the demonstrators  several kilometers from the court.  

Five cops reportedly have been injured while a number of motorcycles have been burnt.
