Shipping activity at Port Qasim on 7th August

KARACHI: Four ships MSC Sana, MSC Earth, AMS Pegasus-III and Chemroad Polaris carrying Containers, Coal and Chemicals were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Monday.
Meanwhile two more ships, MSC Athos and Cecelia-B with Containers and Soya Bean seeds also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
A total of eight ships MSC Sana, MSC Earth, Magda-P, Nautical Amethys, AMS Pegasus-III, BTG Fuji, Chemroad Polaris and NCC Noor are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Coal, Soya been, Chemicals and Palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 138,668 tonnes, comprising 90,770 tonnes import cargo and 47,898 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,637 Containers (TEUs), (965 TEUs Imports and 1,672 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Two ships, MSC Earth and Nautical Amethys sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while three more ships MSC Sana, Chemroad Polaris and NCC Noor are expected to sail on same day in the afternoon. A total of six ships, MSC Silvana, MSC Athos, Maersk Columbus, Concerto, Bunga Lila and LNG Lobita carrying Containers, Palm oil, Chemicals and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT, EVTL and EETL respectively on Tuesday, 7th August-2018, while another container vessel MOL Grandeur is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
