Shehbaz Sharif appreciates NA speaker’s role

ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday congratulated Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on conducting the affairs of the lower house impartially.
During a meeting with Speaker in his Chamber at Parliament House, he said that running the Lower House above politics enhances the dignity of parliamentarians, said a press release issued by National Assembly Secretariat. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNAs, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, and Mehmood Bashir Virk were also present during the meeting.
The opposition leader said all the Members of National Assembly of PML-N appreciated Speaker’s role. “I am the Speaker of whole the house and running the National Assembly affairs without discrimination is the demand of my post as per constitution and law,” Asad Qaiser said. The Speaker said that it is my ambition to conduct the business of the National Assembly smoothly by tolerating each other.
“I hoped that Leader of Opposition will play his parliamentary role which will helpful to run the proceeding of the House smoothly,” he said. Later, a delegation led by Maulana Abdul Waseh of Muttahida Majlis Amal (MMA) also met with Speaker National Assembly. Zahid Akram Durrani and Maulana Salahuddin were also present during the meeting.
