KARACHI: KSE-100 Index closed in the green (42,745) gaining 1096 points on week’s second trading day as local institutional investors opted to buy aggressively.
Rs. 7.2b worth of 140.8m shares changed hands today. Value of the shares of 259 companies augmented, 66 declined while 14 remained stagnant.
Cement, Banking and Chemical Sectors led the trading of shares today with 27.3m, 23.7m and 11.7m shares changing hands respectively.
Today’s top five traders were Fauji Cement Co. Ltd., 13.96m shares (+4.47pc); Pakistan Elektron Ltd., 7.39m shares (+4.52pc); TRG Pakistan Ltd., 6.73m shares (4.74pc); Faysal Bank Ltd., 6.47m shares (+0.04pc); Bank of Punjab, 6.02m shares (+1.75pc).
