PSX: Bears stay put at the bourse!

KARACHI: Benchmark KSE-100 index again closed in the red (41,624) shedding 246 points on week’s last trading day. This was sixth successive negative close due to the persistent political noise. 

Rs.4.33b worth of 82.8m shares changed hands today. Value of the shares of 205 plummeted, 76 augmented while 17 remained stagnant. Cement and Commercial Banks Sectors led the trade today with 11.8m shares and 10m shares respectively.

Top five leading traders of shares today were: K-Electric Ltd., 5.9m shares (-1.80pc); Sui Southern Gas Co Ltd., 5.6m shares (+2.28pc); Pakistan Elektron Ltd., 5.2m shares (-3.76pc); Engro Polymer & Chemicals Ltd., 5.0m shares (+0.20pc); Dewan Cement Ltd., 4.8m shares (-0.29pc).
