Non-Payment of Salaries: SC summons Geo Jang Group Editor-in-Chief!

ISLAMABAD: SC summons Geo Jang Group Editor-in-Chief Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman to appear before it tomorrow (17th day of April) to explain why his media group’s employees had not been paid last three month salaries.

 

The bench was hearing case about the media commission formed by SC back in 2013 in order to review major points of concern in the industry against the Court Formulated Terms of References (ToRs).

CJ told some reporters who had approached him were hired for only Rs. 12,000/m even that amount at times was not paid for months.
