A new study holds consuming fruit juice at breakfast could cause Type 2 diabetes!

WASHINGTON: Harvard and Tulane universities’ researchers have said that intake of fruit juice was associated with incidence of type-2 diabetes.

“The rapid delivery of a large sugar load, without many other components that are a part of whole fruits, may be an important mechanism by which fruit juices could contribute to the development of diabetes”, the researchers warned.

Maintaining since fruit juice lacks fiber and harbors high sugar content, take-in it at breakfast could cause type 2 diabetes.

Researchers have concluded that diabetes patients, in order to ameliorate their health condition, should not replace high-sugar beverages with fruit juice.

However, they pointed out that consuming leafy green vegetables and whole fruits reduced their risk of developing type 2 Diabetes.
