ISLAMABAD: An accountability court has recommenced hearing of a corruption reference filed by NAB against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar for allegedly owning assets beyond known sources of income here today.
Like the last three hearings, today too Dar did not appear before court as he is in London for ‘medical treatment’.
Due to his continuous absence a non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued by the court.
NAB will today move an application pursuing endorsement of the annexation of more assets owned by the minister.
Court had already sanctioned confiscation of assets, which had earlier been seized by NAB.
During the last hearing, Judge had rejected a plea filed by Dar’s secondary counsel seeking exemption for her client from appearance.
