Mobile communication partially restored in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Mobile phone services were partially restored in Kashmir Valley today (Wednesday) after 11days suspension in the wake of protests that have left 47 people dead and around 5,500 injured, according to Indian media.

The telecommunication authority said that most postpaid services were restored at midnight and some of the prepaid numbers resumed functioning this morning.

“The decision of restoration of the networks was taken in view of the improving situation in the Valley,” a police official said.

However, he said, a decision on resumption of mobile internet services will be taken after a review of the situation.

All mobile telephone services, except BSNL, were suspended on July 15 after violent protests over killing of Hizbul Mujahidin commander Burhan Wani spread across the Valley.

NEW DELHI: Fifteen years after Ariel Sharon’s visit to India in 2003, Benjamin Netanyahu arrived here for a six-day tour today with the largest trade delegation ever to accompany an Israeli Prime Minister on a foreign trip.

Modi, who broke protocol to receive the Israeli PM and his wife Sara, took to the tweeter to welcome his counterpart terming him as his friend:

Negating the allegation, the star said: “I am stating with complete clarity that this is absolutely false. My involvement with Donald Trump was limited to a few public appearances and nothing more…
