Landmine blast kills 3 as their vehicle crossed border from Iran to Pakistan illegally

CHAGHI (BALOCHISTAN): Two women (Naseema, Maryam) and their driver (Abdul Rehman – all from a local tribe) got killed as their pickup  hit a roadside landmine after crossing border from Iran and entered Chaghi district of Balochistan in Pakistan.

A child travelling with the deceased got critically wounded and is presently being treated at a District Headquarters Hospital.

According to sources the vehicle was totally destroyed due to the intensity of the explosion. Though LEAs have registered a case against unidentified militants, it is pertinent to mention here that oil and other commodities are smuggled with the collusion of the concerned officials through porous Pak-Iran border.
