Grapevine Bollywood: Anushka’s apparel line NUSH has been accused of plagiarism!




MUMBAI: Earlier this week, reported that Bollywood actress turned producer Anushka Sharma launched her clothing line NUSH.

Now if the grapevine is to be believed, Anushka is facing the charges of plagiarism over her collections, which are supposed to be inspired by Chinese websites such as Alibaba, Aliexpress, Wish and Taobao.

In this context, a source quoted Anushka’s spokesperson as saying: “Several discrepancies have come to light over the last two days. We are in the process of getting to the bottom of this and will not stop at taking stringent action to resolve the situation. Once we have clarity, we will share details.”

Claiming that stern measures will be taken against this, her business partner Pawan Agarwal, CMD Suditi Industries ensures that they will look into this matter keenly.

Commenting on this further, Pawan further mused: “We have just got to know about the discrepancies in some designs of our brand NUSH and we are taking strict action about the same. We have recently realized that some of our procured designs from the Chinese manufacturer were being available elsewhere too.

“So we, along with our partner Anushka Sharma, are also ensuring that these specific designs are not put on floor and will discard this out from our range.”

Will Meesha show up in court to submit her response this time?

LAHORE: Sources privy to NPTV have been intimated that singer Meesha Shafi has been ordered to come up with her response by 25th of September pertaining to the defamation suit filed by singer-cum-actor Ali Zafar, who was being accused of harassing her.

In the proceedings of a district and sessions court, Meesha’s legal counsel Muhammad Saqib Jilani presented his power-of-attorney to the court and pleaded the court for an extension for submitting reply.

Accepting the request, the judge adjourned the hearing till September 25. It is pertinent to mention here that the first hearing vis-á-vis Meesha/Ali high profile case was held on June 25, 2018, wherein Meesha was ordered to come up with her response pertaining the defamation allegations.

Nevertheless, she did not show up in court nor did she present her reply on August 13. Readers may recall how Shafi accused Ali of abusing her on multiple occasions some months back. Whereas, on the other hand, Ali, while categorically denying the claims, lodged a defamation suit asking for  Rs1 billion and apology for marring his reputation in a district court against Shafi on June 23.

The official statement reads, “That the tweet dated 19.04.2018 and the Instep Article dated 21.04.2018 are false, slanderous, and defamatory statements, stand published and originate from the defendant, therefore, have caused tremendous injury to the Plaintiff’s reputation, goodwill, livelihood; being attempts to tarnish the good image of the plaintiff.”

“As the defamatory statements are patently false, it can only be concluded that this malicious campaign has been launched against the plaintiff as part of a motivated conspiracy to tarnish the plaintiff’s good image through making false accusations.”

“The defendant has associated herself with the global #MeToo movement, with one of the launchers of the #MeToo movement ‘Rose McGowan’ labeling the defendant as ‘a heroine for our times’.”

MUMBAI: Ever since PM Imran Khan came into power, a number of influential persons including common people reckon him a ray of hope, be it bringing about change or boosting relationships amid countries.

In such, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut also went ahead and opened up about her desires to see both the states in good terms.

Deliberating about her positive thoughts, Kangana is optimistic that PM Imran Khan would make sure that the two countries have a beautiful relationship.

She went on to say, “Hopefully, we can only hope that we shed no more blood. It’s unfortunate that our soldiers are dying. But, the kind of speech Mr. Imran Khan has given is very nice and I wish him all the best and with folded hands, I appeal, that we have a beautiful relationship.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Imran is all set to take his oath as prime minister on August 18.

Considering this, pundits at the helm of affairs are of the view that the event is going to be a big hit, which would also be covered by international media giants.

NPTV had earlier reported that Indian cricketer Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar and Navjot Singh Sidhu have already been invited to his oath-taking ceremony.

Moreover, it has also been speculated that some B-town actors and other high-ups will be conspicuous among others.

Sources privy to NPTV have been intimated that B-town Aamir Khan is not going to visit Pakistan for PM Imran Khan’s oath-taking ceremony. According to the details, provided by the sources, Amir did not receive any invitation from Khan. In this context, a source quoted Aamir as saying: “No, I am not going to Pakistan and I haven’t got an invitation for Imran Khan’s swearing-in ceremony.” At the moment, the 53-year-old actor is booked up with various professional commitments in India. Deliberating about his engagements, he further went on to say: “I am busy as I have a very big event for Paani Foundation, which I am preparing for. It’s a massive event with 10,000 villagers and is taking place on August 12.” Previously, it was reported that Aamir had promised Imran Khan that if he came into power, he would visit Pakistan to rejoice his triumph during a media event in 2012. He had mused: “When you win the election, I will definitely come [to Pakistan] to celebrate your victory. And I will bring lots of Indians with me.” It is pertinent to mention here that PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry had claimed earlier that invites had been dispatched to former Indian cricketers Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Indian actors (particularly Aamir) to the much-anticipated ceremony, which is reportedly scheduled to be held on 13 August. Please give this message to Aamir Khan that Imran Khan has won the elections and now he should fulfill his promise and come and celebrate with us. Pakistanis are eagerly waiting to welcome him, a fan tweeted to Zafar.” Readers may recall that back in 2012, Aamir had promised Imran Khan that if he came into power, he would visit Pakistan to rejoice his triumph during a media event. “When you win the election, I will definitely come [to Pakistan] to celebrate your victory. Atif rubbishes rumors of singing Indian song at NY Parade!



KARACHI: The news claiming that Pakistani singing sensation Atif Aslam sang a Bollywood song at the Pakistan Independence Day Parade in New York takes social media by storm.

Due to which, numerous users started panning Atif for doing so. Terming those as bogus rumors, Aslam stressed that was fake propaganda against him.

While rubbishing the speculations, the singer took to social media and wrote, “Simply love my haters. The green flag is my identity.”

Appreciating his fans for their love and support, the singer further went on to say, “I am happy and proud that my fans know how to respond to fake propaganda.”

Talking about the people of Naya Pakistan, Aslam muses, “In Naya Pakistan, people learn to respect those who have made the country proud world over”.

On the other hand, his fellow singer Shafqat Amanat Ali also went ahead for defending Aslam and took to Twitter, “I stand in support with Atif Aslam for singing his songs at the parade.”

“Music is not Indian or Pakistani. It is just music! Singers are synonymous with their songs which are loved equally by fans from every country. Should have briefed him if they wanted national songs.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Atif rules millions heart not only in his country but all around the world because of his magical voice. He sings a number of Bollywood songs such as Pehli Nazar Mai, Dil Dia Gallan, Selfish and Pehli Dafa to name the few, which went to the top of the chart. As a matter of fact, it is not wrong to say that the romance is incomplete sans his ecstatic voice!

A piece published earlier:  Pakistani singer Atif Aslam’s management team has said that the singer’s new music video will be released all over the world, including India. “The video is releasing all over the world, including India, as far as we know,” Aslam’s assistant Usman said, denying Indian media reports which claimed that Pakistani singer’s latest music video will not be released in India following escalating tensions between the two countries. The 33-year-old shot a single with Bollywood and Tamil actress Ileana D’Cruz in Turkey which was set to be produced by T-Series.
