CS Sindh reviews general election arrangements

KARACHI: Chief Secretary (CS) Sindh, Major (Retd.) Azam Suleman Khan has directed that the government servants who are violating the code of conduct of General Election-2018 must be suspended.
He issued these instructions to all Administrative Secretaries of Sindh Government while presiding over a review meeting regarding the violation of Code of Conduct of General Election 2018 on Friday evening in Sindh Secretariat, said a statement.
The meeting resolved to suspend those servants of Sindh Government who are violating the Election Code of Conduct. Secretary Implementation and Coordination SG&CAD Syed Mohsin Ali Shah briefed the meeting that in violation of the election code of conduct the action has been taken against employees viz; 48 of School Education, nine of Local government and 18 of Health department.
He elaborated that the action has also been taken against 22 elected representatives. He further stated that amongst the defaulters there are 14 employees of Board of Revenue, eight of Agriculture, five of Food, three of Information department, six of Auqaf and five of Home Department including one DSP.
Director Colleges Sukkur Region Abdul Bari Inder has also been moved with the advice to report to SGA&CD (Services General Administration & Coordination Department), while four District Chairmen Zakat have been dismissed.
The Chief Secretary Sindh ordered to withdraw the powers of all Chairmen of Zakat Committees till the completion of the election process and suspended employees of Sindh government be reported in Karachi, whose attendance must be got recorded in their offices, till the day of polling, too.
Those who attended the meeting include Senior Member Board of Revenue Dr. Iqbal Hussain Durrani, Administrative Secretaries, M. Usman Chachar (Health), Qazi Shahid Parvez (Information), Haroon A. Khan (Home),  Secretary Colleges Lubna Salahuddin, Secretary Schools Dr. Alya Shahid and others senior officers.
