ATM Skimming in Karachi: Another Chinese National arrested!

KARACHI: A Chinese national named Xu Zhuping was arrested for skimming ATMs of Summit Bank and Muslim Commercial Bank on Tipu Sultan Road here today.

An amount of Rs.650,000, Chinese Yuan, ATM skimming* devices and cell phones were recovered from his possession.

According to details as soon as they received information about four suspected characters skimming ATMs in Bahadurabad area, Police personnel rushed to the scene of crime and managed to nab one culprit while three bolted.

Police is endeavoring to nab the absconders by means of CCTV footages.

* Skimming devices are placed over the ATM card slots in order to obtain data from the magnetic strips.
