Altaf’s anti-Rangers remarks may land MQM mayoral nominee in jail

KARACHI: ATC has issued non-bailable warrants for the arrest of as many as 25 MQM top leaders including its quaid Altaf Hussain and mayoral candidate Waseem Akhtar. 

Accused of facilitating Altaf Hussain’s July 12 anti-Rangers speech, they were implicated in FIR’s lodged by private complainants in different parts of the country charging them under section 12 of CrPc.

Altaf Hussain had called upon the Army Chief to take notice of alleged torturing and murdering of his workers by Rangers  ‘violating Army’s code of conduct’.  

Police has been ordered by the court to present the accused before it on January 2.
