RIYADH: Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz has ordered the authorities to reopen the border with Qatar to facilitate the annual hajj pilgrimage.
The Arabian border with Qatar, Salwa border crossing, had been shut after seven Arab nations including Saudi Arabia Egypt, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates severed diplomatic and trade ties with Qatar on June 5, accusing the tiny Gulf state of supporting terrorists.
“The announcement to reopen the border for Qatari pilgrims came after Saudi Arabia´s powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received an envoy from Doha,” official Saudi Press Agency reported.
“The king has permitted “the entry of Qatari pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through Salwa border crossing to perform hajj, and to allow all Qatari nationals who wish to enter for hajj without electronic permits”, it said.
Hafiz Saeed should be arrested and charged for his crimes: US
LAHORE: US has said today that JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed should be arrested and charged for his crimes.
According to details, on learning that JuD leader has been released, State Department held: “The United States is deeply concerned that Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT) leader Hafiz Saeed has been released from house arrest in Pakistan.
“The Pakistani government should make sure that he is arrested and charged for his crimes.”
It is pertinent to mention here that by means of Executive Order 13224 he had been termed Specially Designated Global Terrorist US Department of Treasury.
Today, while delivering a Khutba before Friday prayers at Jamia Maslid Al-Qadsia here, Hafiz Saeed said that he was fighting for the freedom of Pakistan and Kashmir.

Militants kill over 235, injure 100 namazis in a Sinai mosque
SINAI (EGYPT): A bomb and gun attack by militants has killed over 235 namazis converged at Al-Rawdah Mosque for Juma prayers in Bir-al-Abed, near Arish city here today.
According to details, following the explosion, gunmen opened fire at namazis who were leaving the mosque.
The militants were not only targeting armed forces personnel gathered there for prayers but at the ambulances too!
It is pertinent to mention here that they also target Sinai tribes reckoning them traitors and abettors of LEAs.
Attackers blocked escape routes by blowing-up cars. Due to resulting burning wreckage LEAs’ personnel failed to follow them.
While President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has called an emergency security meeting, Egyptian government has announced three days of national mourning.
