Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan to be next Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir

MUZAFFARABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, that had clean-sweeped Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) general elections, has nominated Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan (president of its AJK chapter)  as the Parliamentary Leader.

PML-N is expected to form its government before August, 14th and Farooq Haider Khan seems to be all set to become the next Prime Minister of AJK. 

Raja Farooq Haider has won the seat for Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly y securing 30,625 voles from LA-28 Constituency  beating PPP’s Ashfaq Zafar who got 16,314 votes. 

PML-N is also expected to announce its presidential candidate as in about a month’s time the constitutional term of AJK President Sardar Yaqoob will  expire. AJK has Parliamentary Democratic System with PM as the Executive Head and President as the Constitutional Head.
