Misbah most successful Test captain, says Inzamam

LAHORE (JAN 20, 2017): Praising Misbahul Haq’s performance as a skipper of the national team, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s Chief Selector Inzamam ul Haq said today that the 42-year-old has rendered great services for the team and country.

“Misbahul Haq has rendered great services for Pakistan and he is our most successful Test captain,” Inzamam told journalists during a press conference in Lahore.

When asked about national team’s poor performance in Australia, the chief selector said that he will soon sit with Test captain to discuss the team’s performance and future strategy.

“I haven’t been able to talk to him [Misbah] ever since he returned to Pakistan from Australia. But I will soon sit with him,” he maintained.

To another question, he said that every player must perform to stay in the squad.

“Our players lack the fitness level required to compete at international level and we need time to overcome these problems,” said the 46-year-old.
