Interior ministry decides to ban Ansarul Sharia Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The activities of newly-emerged militant group Ansarul Sharia Pakistan (ASP) would b banned soon, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said today

Addressing the Senate Standing Committee on Interior, the minister also claimed that ASP’s entire network would be taken down soon.

“Efforts are underway to track down other members of the terrorist group,” he said, adding that no group or party will be permitted to engage in provocative actions.

The emergence of Ansarul Sharia Pakistan came after an attack on MQM-P leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan on the first day of Eidul Azha in Karachi.
