French Envoy Martine Dorance anticipates CPEC will bring positive change in the region

QUETTA: Envoy of France to Pakistan Madame Martine Dorance has noted that China was investing enormously in the energy and communication sector of the mega CPEC project.

H.E. said this while expressing views here on Wednesday (Dec., 14th) during ongoing tour of Baluchistan along with Embassy’s Economic Department Head Philippe Fouet.

The Ambassador, pointing towards the mineral riches of Baluchistan maintained that improved security would draw investors there from France.

Harboring on the subject H.E. reiterated that French companies were interested in investing in various sectors in Pakistan including power, water treatment and transport.

Envoy Dorance told that (Agence Française Développement) AFD was involved here in green-energy field. The agency is providing technical know-how as well as resources for hydro-electricity and solar energy projects.

15 bullet-riddled bodies of laborers/to-be immigrants from Punjab found in Baluchistan

KECH: Levies have found 15 bullet-riddled bodies here in tehsil Buleda today.

According to details victims were killed from close range and all received multiple bullets.

Sources privy to Newspakistan.tv have revealed that those killed hailed from Punjab.

It is yet to be ascertained whether they were laborers or to-be illegal immigrants endeavoring to go to Europe.

PM says all Baloch union councils to have water, power, gas, health and education!

QUETTA: PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi while announcing a decade-long mega-development program for the Province here today has said that all Baloch Union Councils would receive water, power, gas, health and education facilities before 2027.

Abbasi, who held a high-level meeting in the Governor House, also chaired meetings to understand state of affairs apropos CPEC-related ongoing projects, law and order.

PM said that the program was aimed at bringing Baluchistan at par with other provinces.

He told that half of the program’s funds would be contributed by federal government while the remaining fifty percent would be arranged by the provincial government.

He briefed the Media about installation of 11 liquefied natural gas plants in different parts of the province at the cost of Rs200 million.

British Transport Authority orders removal of Anti-Pakistan slogans from London cabs

LONDON: Transport Authority here has ordered the owners of cabs to immediately remove anti-Pakistan slogans from their vehicles.

A couple of days ago when Free-Baluchistan advertisements appeared on London cabs, British HC here was summoned by Pakistani Foreign Secretary and a protest was lodged.

The concerned authorities here while taking to Newspakistan.tv have informed, following an inquiry, disciplinary action would be taken against the perpetrators.
