In 2 years 5640 IBOs were carried out in Baluchistan: 470 militants killed, 20,000 nabbed

QUETTA: After National Action Plan was announced two years ago 5640 Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) were carried out in Baluchistan during which 470 suspected militants were killed, 100 injured and 20,000 arrested in encounters.

The IBOs were conducted by intelligence agencies, Police, Frontier Corps and Levies.

It is pertinent to mention here that most of the militants belonged to banned religious and sectarian outfits.
